Dress rehearsal number one is complete! It’s a great time to give a shout out to our stage crew working tirelessly behind the scenes. Without them, this show wouldn’t be possible! #junglebook #twomoredays
Students in Mrs. Zajkowski's class were challenged to build a model of a sound wave out of the materials provided. They only had thirty minutes to plan and build with a partner. Check out these pictures from the activity.
Miss Mahokey’s fourth graders have been exploring fractions, specifically discovering equivalent fractions and comparing fractions. Students were able to make connections between fractions that are equal to one half and fractions that are greater than or less than one half. They are eager to apply these skills to order fractions next!
Mrs. Zajkowski's class has been studying sound in science! The students made sound turkeys to introduce and model resonance. They also incorporated frequency when pulling the sponge down the string to change the pitch of the turkey.
Our first rehearsal in the EVHS auditorium! Four days until opening night! We hope you can join us for The Jungle Book!
Fourth and fifth grade students are learning, drawing, and laughing in Ms. Rozwadowski’s ESL classes. Whether studying manatees, monsters, or making New Year’s selfies, it’s fun to share what we know and keep building on that knowledge together.
Last night, three of our fantastic stallions competed in the county spelling bee! All three did an amazing job! Way to go!
If you thought that the 100th day was fun at Yowell, check out how 1st grade celebrated the 101st day of school! Thank goodness none of these cute pups ended up in Cruella's clutches.
We know the 100th day was yesterday, but we thought you would enjoy seeing more fun ways that our stallions celebrated! Check out these cuties from Mrs. Wensel's class! They made fruit loop necklaces, made pictures on a hundreds chart, and read a hundred day story! Stay tuned for pictures from the 101st day!
Mrs. Vasil’s 2nd grade class has been learning about set fractions this week. They searched around the room to solve set fractions on their clipboards.
Students in Ms. Heaney's fourth grade reading class read a passage about blizzards and then did an interactive activity where they threw cottony soft snowballs around the room (zone A, B, C, D) to reflect their answer choices. The answers with the biggest snow pile were discussed first! ❄️ that was SNOW much fun!
Mrs. Woods’ 2nd graders are learning fractions in math this week and working hard on fractions of a set.
1st grade students had music class all about snowmen last week! They sang “Once there was a Snowman” and even melted all over the music rug! Then they got to build their own snowman and name it!
