Mrs. Vasil's 3rd grade class jumped right into math by creating a multiplication/division snowman. They showed off their skills of using the same 3 numbers to write 2 multiplication and 2 division equations. While they are still wishing for snow, making their own paper snowmen was a fun review of multiplication/division.

Working with a partner, students were tasked with building a “Shelf for the Elf” using only popsicle sticks and Play-Doh. Teams collaborated, problem-solved, tested ideas, and made adjustments along the way—just like real engineers!

This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking while spreading a little holiday magic in the classroom. We love seeing our youngest learners building big ideas together! ✨

S. Heaney’s fourth grade class is getting in the holiday spirit! They’ve learned about Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah. Some of our top-attending Stallions for November earned a pawsome reward this past week… they got to use Mr. Conville’s Furbo to launch treats to his sweet dog, Maisiey! 🐾✨

Maisie was thrilled, the students were laughing, and we loved celebrating the importance of showing up each day. ❤️

Culpeper County Schools will open 2 hours late tomorrow, Friday, December 5, 2025 due to the forecast of inclement weather. Essential personnel and custodians report on time; All other personnel report 2 hours late.

If conditions deteriorate and we need to close, we will send a follow-up notification by 7:30 AM.

🧼✍️ Sensory Play Fun in Silver’s Room!

Mrs. Silver's students had a blast diving into sensory play today! They practiced writing in shaving cream—a hands-on way to build fine motor skills and letter formation (and help clean the tables at the same time 😉).

They also got creative making foam dough, squishing and shaping as they explored textures and worked those little hand muscles.

Learning through play is the best kind of learning! 💙🖐️🎉

Our preschoolers just started a new investigation- Healthy You! They are learning about healthy habits to take care of their bodies. Last week they got to pretend to clean teeth like a dentist, drew pictures of things they do to keep their teeth healthy, reviewed the 5 senses, investigated different kinds of foods with their senses, and had fun singing Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.

🎭 What a fun morning! Ms. Huntt’s class — along with all of 5th grade — got to enjoy the CMS musical “Something Rotten Jr.". We had a blast seeing the amazing sets, costumes, singing, and dancing! 🎶👏 We even got to see some former stallions perform!
