It's FriYAY in the Phoenix kitchen!
Learning to cook helps kids find out about nutrition and what it means to eat healthy. Kids who learn to cook also expand their understanding of math, learn to plan ahead, and explore their creativity. Plus, they learn a lifelong skill!

During RISE time this week, Phoenix students finished setting their SMART goals for the school year and moved into lessons on Self Awareness. #watchmerise

Congratulations to Tyjae Hoffman, CCHS, for recovering Algebra and earning a high school credit! #watchmerise

Their creativity never ceases to amaze us! #watchmerise

Phoenix 2023- 2024🧡

Happy FriYAY! Each week, students get to participate in an enrichment activity hosted by teachers. These activities are designed to foster creativity, encourage physical and mental well-being, or to teach students lifelong skills. Thanks to CMS for the gym and CCHS for the bikes!

Phoenix students range from grades 6 through 12, ages 11 up to 22, and come from 4 different CCPS schools. We have quite a mix! Our middle school group this year has been a ray of sunshine!

Today we began our social emotional learning period that we call Watch Me Rise. Students received instruction in the importance of SEL and how it will benefit them. They also began setting their SMART goals for the year! #AltEd

We sure do love it when our graduates come back for a visit!

We love that our students are earning positive referrals already! We are so proud of Emmanuel Yates, CCHS, for taking the initiative to help new students in Mrs. Dawson's class!

Our Art Fundamentals classes have begun with Color Theory! Students in Mrs. Dawson's classes created mandala art, a calming, meditative art form. Other students began acrylic paint pouring! We can't wait for their work to decorate our halls!

Today we said "see you soon" to one of our hardest working staff members, Miss Maggie, who will be relocating to be with family. She has taken such good care of our building- and all of us- and will be extremely missed!

We were so excited to welcome our full time students back to Phoenix today!

Phoenix staff enjoyed a fun day of team building with our community partners at Verdun today! We cannot wait to bring our first group of Groundwork's students this semester! #watchmerise

Today is day 2 for our new teachers! Looking forward to another GREAT DAY!

Parents/Guardians of students who were enrolled in Culpeper County Public Schools for the 2022-2023 school year should have received an email earlier today to complete a registration update for the 2023-2024 school year. If families did not receive the email, there is a link on the CCPS website.
This registration update for “returning students” is required in order for students to start school on August 9th.
It is extremely important that families log in to their parent portal account and complete the “returning student” registration update for each child in school. This is an opportunity to review and update any changes to your address, phone numbers, email, health information, emergency contacts, and transportation plan for the new school year.
For issues logging in to Parent Portal or to request paper registration forms, families should contact their child’s school.

"Flame" made his debut at Culpeperfest last night in a race with other local mascots! Yay Phoenix!

Today we said "see you soon" to several of our CCHS seniors who stopped by after graduation practice. On Saturday they take a step into their new journey on life, but, still, they will always be a Phoenix.
