Mrs. Dillon's 3rd Graders practiced being scientists this week as they investigated the interaction of different solids with water. They then further studied the solids that dissolved and the next day tested to see if hot or cold water made them dissolve at a faster rate. The experiment worked and the honey, sugar, brown sugar, and salt all dissolved faster in the hot water. Science is so much fun!

While many kindergartners and preschoolers experienced their first day of elementary school today, so did our very own Mr. Conville. Mr. Conville joins us after many successful years at Culpeper Middle School, where he built strong relationships with students, families, and staff while fostering a positive school culture.
