
Stallions! Spread some cheer by purchasing paper flowers to decorate our main hallway. Flowers will be sold for 25 cents during homeroom, in the STEM zone on
Tuesday, May 9th & Wednesday, May 10th, by SCA officers. Students can write their name or a friend's name, and then decorate the flowers to display in the main

Our students in Mrs. Silver's class took their business "Specially Brewed Coffee" to the next level today with their first drive thru coffee service! These students are working to earn enough money to take a trip to Chick-fil-A later this month! They did a great job serving some amazing patrons this morning. Thank you for your support!









This week Mrs. Woods 2nd grade class worked on three-dimensional shapes in their Geometry unit. Way to go stallions!

Kindergarten had a special visitor today! Mr. Wensel came to teach the students about plants and gardening and they gave a much needed makeover to our raised garden beds in the back of the school! Happy Spring!



Third grade went on an awesome Math Easter Egg Hunt yesterday!





Culpeper County Public Schools will be closed for Spring Break the week of April 10-14, 2023. This includes schools and offices.


Mentor/ Mentee matching day! They didn't even plan it.


Students in Ms. Heaney’s class went on a Spring Egg Hunt today. They searched high and low in the courtyard for eggs with various math problems hidden inside. Spring has sprung at Yowell!





Our second graders were treated to a presentation about colonial times entitled Blast From the Past. This presentation was given by our own Mrs. Bopp's mother who is a former librarian. Thank you so much for bringing this awesome experience to our school!




Happy World Down Syndrome Day from Mrs. Thornhill’s First Grade Class!


On March 21, we will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day! This is a day to come together to celebrate our differences and our abilities! We will be rocking our mismatched socks tomorrow and we hope you will join in on the fun too!

The Yowell "mathletes" did an awesome job at the county Math 24 tournament last night. Students who made it to the championship round are: Anish Mishra, Parker
Pratt, Wyatt Wilk, Jonathan Lizama, Ben Koch, Katherine Soderholm and Reid Green. Special congratulations go to Anish Mishra who won 2nd place in 3rd grade and Jonathan Lizama who won 3rd place in 4th grade.
