large group of students in costumes on stage

On February 10 and 11, 2025, the students of Yowell Elementary School transported audiences to the magical world of Agrabah with their dazzling production of Aladdin. After months of dedication, rehearsing from September through February, these talented young performers put on an unforgettable show, overcoming challenges, including school cancellations due to weather and the dreaded flu season, with determination and enthusiasm.

A total of 130 students participated in the production, bringing the story to life with incredible performances, vibrant costumes, and dynamic stage presence. The production was led by Kelsey Pratt, Katherine Korona, Krista Galenski, and Karen Dugger, whose passion and guidance helped make the show a resounding success.

A huge thank you goes out to the families, friends, and community members who came out to support our students. Your cheers, applause, and encouragement made all the hard work worth it!

We are especially grateful for the generous donations that have made it possible for us to continue growing our theater program. Thanks to this support, we are thrilled to announce a partnership with CTEC’s carpentry class, which will be building a storage shed to house our costumes, props, and set materials—ensuring that future productions have the resources they need to shine just as brightly.

A special shoutout to Cherry Street Building Supply for donating essential materials for our shed. Your generosity helps us create lasting opportunities for students to explore the magic of theater for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who played a role in making Aladdin a success. We can’t wait to see what adventures the stage holds next!
