Listen to what some of our cast members had to say about their experience.

I like the Jungle Book because I love my character, Baloo. I love how he acts just like me. I love my costume. The Jungle Book taught me how to be brave because I was never brave. I was shy but the play taught me how to be brave like when I was in 101 Dalmatians.  - Adrian Arroyo, 5th Grade, Baloo

My name is Paige Herron and I am a stage crew member for the play.  My job is to help put Kaa the Snake together.  I also get to help hand out programs before the show.  I love my stage crew job and helping Mrs. Korona.  I hope the kids in the stage crew next year enjoy their job as much as I did. - Paige Herron, 5th Grade, Lead Stage Crew Member

A few things that I like about the musical are that you can improve your voice.  It feels like you are leaving a singing lesson from Mrs. Pratt.  It is also a great way to learn acting skills and get ready for future auditions. I cannot describe how much fun it is to practice.  Some people may look at it as a silly show, but we see it as the opportunity of a lifetime.  I did not regret this decision at all.  - Zachary Tolson, 5th Grade, Shere Kahn

It’s a hard thing to do, but it is so fun to see your progress and it’s a great time having fun and making new friends. Dancing is fun and it’s amazing getting into character and monkeying around.  The songs, singing and the lines are just the best.  It’s so good for you to come out of your shell.  I was on stage crew during 101 Dalmatians and I said that the next play I would be in and it is so fun! - Benjamin Barona, 5th Grade, King Louie

Showtimes for this spectacular production are scheduled for Friday night at 6:00 PM and Saturday at both 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with free admission and the opportunity to purchase concessions and raffle tickets (cash only please).  We hope you can join us to experience the magic of The Jungle Book brought to life by the talented students of Yowell Elementary School. With a blend of creativity, dedication, and sheer enthusiasm, this musical extravaganza is sure to leave a lasting impression and create cherished memories for all who attend.
